Jensen Horn-Sin Lam is one of the founders of ELA Shanghai. After earning a Master¡¯s degree from University for Music and Darstellende Kunst Wien, he was a member of two renown ensembles of contemporary chamber music: Ensemble Kontrapunkt and Klang Forum, as well serving as the principle viola for the Orquesta Sinf¨®nica de Radio Televisi¨®n Espa?ola. Now he is the Vice Dean of the String Department at Shanghai Conservatory and the leader of the ¡°Horn-Sin Lam Studio of Chamber Music Pedagogy and Performance¡± also at the conservatory.  
 
  Wu Shuting, the young violinist is also a founding member of ELA Shanghai. She has a Master¡¯s degree from both the Shanghai Conservatory and the Hochschule f¨¹r Musik und Theater Hamburg. She further earned a diploma of string quartet playing from Professor Rainer Schmidt, a member of the Hagen Quartet. She has debuted many chamber music works both Chinese and foreign composers, and was awarded the Gold Medal ofor performance at two sessions of the Baichuan Prize for Chinese Modern Music. Now she is a pedagogue of chamber music at Shanghai Conservatory.
 
Li Cong, founder of ELA Shanghai, a clarinetist and a chamber pianist, earned his Master¡¯s degree for clarinet performance at the Shanghai Conservatory and the Hochschule f¨¹r Musik und Theater in Hamburg. At the ARD International Music Competition held in Germany in 2008, he was acknowledged as the best interpreter of Luciano Berio¡¯s Sequenza for clarinet solo. He is now a member of the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra as clarinetist and pianist.  
 
  Wang Jing, also a founder of ELA Shanghai, graduated with a Master's degree from the Department of Composition and Conducting of the Shanghai Conservatory. He is a composer of several chamber and orchestral works of varying styles. Since graduation he has been a teacher of basic music theory and ear training at the Attached Middle School of the Shanghai Conservatory. Currently he goes to India every year to learn traditional Indian music in order to draw inspiration for his composition s . He is in charge of the administrative and management affairs of ELA Shanghai.
 
Huang Yanlin, a violinist, graduated from Musikhochschule Stuttgart with Kammermusikexamen and Konzertexamen. She was awarded a prize for chamber music performance by the German Association of Music, and took part in many international music festivals including Oberstdorf Music Festival in Germany, Taipei Music Festival and the Aschaffenburg Europe Bach Festival . She is now a pedagogue of chamber music at Shanghai Conservatory.
